FOR ONLINE RTI APPLICANTS - INSTRUCTIONS


1.  Online application can be filled by an applicant who desires to obtain any information under the RTI Act can make a request through email id wbnujsrti@nujs.edu

2.  The applicant can pay the prescribed fee through the following modes:
(a) Internet banking / NEFT/RTGS
(b) Using credit/debit card of Master/Visa;
Fee for making an application is as prescribed in the RTI Rules, 2012.

3.  After making payment, an application can be submitted. Softcopy copy of the proof payment/payment receipt containing the UTR should be attached with the email.

4.  No RTI fee is required to be paid by any citizen who is below poverty line as per RTI Rules, 2012. However, the applicant must attach a copy of the certificate issued by the appropriate government in this regard, along with the application.

5.  On submission of an application, an acknowledgement email will be forwarded to the applicant within 3 working days.

6.  The application filed through this email id will reach electronically to the "PIO" who would process the RTI application electronically to the concerned Department for information.

7.  In case additional fee is required representing the cost for providing information, the PIO would intimate the applicant through email within time specified under the RTI Act. This intimation can be seen by the applicant through his/her e-mail.

8.  All the requirements for filing an RTI application and first appeal as well as other provisions regarding time limit, exemptions etc., as provided in the RTI Act, 2005 will continue to apply.

10.  Cost of photocopying, scanning and CDs, etc. are as per RTI Regulations.

11.  For compliance of required information, help of the administrative staff is necessary. The administrative staff also cannot function without the information collected from various persons which includes Faculty, etc. and administrative departments. But faculty normally enjoys vacation during the University scheduled summer vacation I.e. nearly two months. During Puja Vacation Faculty enjoys vacation nearly about a month. Administrative staff enjoys Puja Vacation nearly 15 days. During Christmas besides Faculty, administrative staff enjoys vacation of nearly a week. The required information is to be supplied within the statutory period. However, the authority may consider so that online process may be kept suspended at least for the period the administrative staff enjoy the vacation.
