Dr. Tilottama Raychaudhuri offers courses in Competition Law (under graduate and post graduate) and the Law of Torts (under graduate). She has also taught World Trade Law and Jurisprudence. Prior to starting her academic career, Tilottama worked at the Sahara India Group of Companies, at their Head Office in Lucknow, on arbitrations, drafting of contracts pertaining to sponsorship of the Indian Cricket and Hockey Teams, aircraft leasing contracts, trademark and copyright issues. She also worked as Law Associate in D.P. Ahuja & Co. Kolkata, at their Trademark and Copyright Department. In 2007, Tilottama obtained her LL.M. from NUJS and was awarded the S. Gopalakrishnan Scholarship for Academic Excellence. Subsequently she obtained her M.Phil. from NUJS and thereafter her Ph.D. from National Law School, Bangalore. Tilottama has publications on Competition Law, International Trade Law, Gender and Law and has presented papers in several national and international conferences. Tilottama is Faculty Advisor to the Society for International Trade and Competition (SITC) an academic society of NUJS which conducts research on trade and competition issues and has its own blog. Tilottama and her team work with the Competition Commission of India and carry out competition assessment of policies and legislations as handed over by the CCI.
