Sanjit Kr. Chakraborty completed his B.A. (Law), LL.B. and LL.M. from University of North Bengal and had
been awarded the University Medal in the year 2005 for securing First Class Second in LL.M. He qualified
UGC-NET, and completed his Ph.D. Research in Law from The University of Burdwan in the area of Intellectual
Property Law of Plant and Human Rights Issues. He started his teaching career in law in the year 2005 and
prior to joining NUJS he served as an Assistant Professor of Law at the School of Law, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar.
He has several publications to his credit including chapters in edited books, research articles in reputed law journals on Plant Intellectual Property Rights, Protection of Traditional Knowledge and Indigenous Peoples' Rights, Constitutional Law, Energy Law & Policy, ADR in Criminal Justice System, Disability Laws etc. He has participated and presented research papers in a number of international and national conferences and seminars, and also organised international and national conferences, seminars and training programmes. He has also attended several faculty development programmes organised by different institutions and organisations across the country.
His areas of interest include Intellectual Property Law, Constitutional Law, Energy Law & Policy, Law & Justice in a Globalising World, and Jurisprudence.
