 Pritam practiced at the Supreme Court of India before joining WBNUJS as an Assistant Professor. As an advocate he represented clients before various adjudicatory forums including the Supreme Court of India and The Delhi High Court. He also assisted senior lawyers in matters before various High Courts across India. Pritam has also been associated with public policy making. He was a member of the legal team of the Central Vigilance Commission on the Public Distribution System set up by the Supreme Court of India. He was also the Associate Project Director of the project on 'Impact of Legal and Jurisprudential Developments on Centre-State Relations'. The project was carried out by WBNUJS for the Commission on Centre-State Relations, Government of India. Apart from his courses in WBNUJS, Pritam has also taught as a January Term Professor at the University of Ottawa, Canada.

Pritam has a Masters Degree (BCL) from the University of Oxford and an undergraduate degree, B.A.B.L (Hons) from NALSAR University of Law Hyderabad.

Postgraduate:

Legal Theory: The course involves teaching on the nature of law, the relationship of law with other disciplines and a close analysis of Justice and Rights.

Undergraduate:
1. Property Law: The course focused on the basic structure of property law and principles of transfer of property.

2. Jurisprudence: The course covers the major schools of thought in legal theory with a focus on understanding them in relation to concepts like Legality, Authority, Legitimacy, Obligation, Adjudication and Legal Reasoning

3. Issues in Legal and Political Philosophy (optional seminar course): The course engages with foundational issues in legal and political philosophy, particularly Justice, Rights, Punishment and Responsibility. It also closely examines the philosophical foundations of tort law in order to understand how philosophical foundations bear upon doctrines developed by legal actors.

4. Constitutional law: I delivered lectures on federalism as a part of the undergraduate course in Indian constitutional law.

5. Comparative Constitutional Law: Nationalism, Nation Building and Constitutions: University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law , January 2010.
